Clear Creek County operates its transfer station and recycling facility a couple of miles up on Colorado Highway 103 from Idaho Springs.
Curbside pickup is on Tuesday each week. Blue cans need to be outside on the curb at 7am. This service is provided to residents of Silver Plume. Commercial pickup: contact Timberline Disposal directly below:
Garbage kills bears. Silver Plume Residents are asked to not help provide a food source for all wildlife. Timberline Disposal provides bear-proof receptacles. For more information, contact Timberline Disposal directly at:
The recycling service is provided by Timberline Disposal. Recycling is highly encouraged in Silver Plume and is provided along with your Tuesday residential curbside pickup. (Other requirements may apply).
Residential garbage winter pickup schedule:
Residents on Mountain Street, Paul Street, South Charles Street, Silver Street, Willis Street, and Jefferson Street (effective October through April). Timberline Disposal trucks will not be doing curbside pickup on the above streets.
There are two dumpsters in Town for your use located at: 1) Town Shop on East Main Street, 2) Dinger Park on West Main Street.
They are provided by Timberline Disposal for citizens' use.
Dumpsters are not intended for construction debris, furniture, appliances, hazardous materials, etc. Please do not leave any items outside of the dumpsters.
Be sure to latch the door so that the bears will not get in.
