ATTENTION GARLAND STREET AND MAIN STREET RESIDENTS:
Beginning June 2024, The Town of Silver Plume will be conducting Road Repair Work.
Neighborhood Street Maintenance Project Update
The Silver Plume Road Repair Project- Phase Two will begin Monday, July 29th, 2024. Streets impacted by Phase Two of this work include Garland Street, Water Street, and Main Street.
The Silver Plume Road Repair Project- Phase Three will begin Monday, August 5th, 2024. Streets impacted by Phase Two of this work include East Main Street from North Charles Street to Woodward Ave.
Weather permitting, normal work hours will be from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Access to residential streets will be limited on certain days. Failure to obey signage could result in vehicles being moved at the owner's expense.
During working hours, street parking in impacted areas will be prohibited.
Motorists are urged to pay close attention while driving through the work area and be prepared for slight delays. Please abide by all posted traffic control signs, be aware of detours, and reduce speeds in the work zone.

Timberline Disposal provides Silver Plume residential customers with curb side trash & recycling pickup each Tuesday free of charge. They also provide 3 dumpsters in town for the residents who live on the steep roads in town which do not have the convenience of curbside pickup at their homes on Tuesdays because of snowy/icy conditions.

Silver Plume is a Home Rule Town located in Clear Creek County, Colorado, United States. The Town is a former silver mining camp situated along Clear Creek in the Front Range of the Rocky Mountains.
The federally designated Georgetown-Silver Plume National Historic District comprises Silver Plume, the neighboring Town of Georgetown, and the Georgetown Loop Historic Mining & Railroad Park between the two towns.

In 1859, gold was discovered at the confluence of Clear Creek and the Platte River near what is now Denver. Inspired by the 1849 California gold rush and by Horace Greeley’s immortal if misguided promotional admonition to “Go west, young man, go west,” literally thousands of fortune-seekers headed up Clear Creek into the Rocky Mountains, seeking the veins of ore that were the source of the nuggets and dust found in the waters of the Creek.
